Hello!

My name is Ila Jagannath and I am a 22 year old artist and designer from Boston, MA. I recently graduated from Northeastern University with a BFA in interaction design as well as a minor in psychology. As a designer, I specialize in user experience design and have a variety of technical skills in research, interface design, graphic design, video editing, animation, and illustration. In my personal artwork, I use digital illustration, image manipulation, and painting to explore color, organic and geometric patterns, and the human form.

My goal is to be a thoughtful and well rounded designer. My educational background in psychology has given me a strong understanding of how human cognition and emotions are affected by design. As humans, we spend our lives interacting with numerous designed objects and processes. These things create experiences that impact us physically and emotionally and it is extremely powerful to have a hand in improving someone's human experience. This is what inspires me to constantly investigate, explore, problem solve, and grow as a designer.

I am also driven by sustainable development, especially in the context of accessible healthcare, sexual and reproductive care, mental health, and equality in education. As a designer and artist, my purpose is to use my knowledge and skill set to contribute to a better tomorrow.
